Our first stop of the day was the Arizona Memorial.
We were a little bummed that they weren't showing the film that day because of maintenance. Boo.
Anyway, we really enjoyed the memorial. I've been there before but every time I go I enjoy it more and more.
Now let me introduce you to this couple we met at the memorial.
Meet Omega (he's a preacher) and Wanda.
We made friends with them while in line to get on the boat.
They are from Florida and just about the cutest couple ever.
We got on the memorial and we asked them to take our picture and then Wanda said she wanted a picture with us. Then we moved to the other side of the memorial and looked at all the oil leaking out from the ship.
Omega and Wanda got real quiet and pulled out some coins and said they were going to make wishes.
She then they each hold a coin in their hands, close their eyes, and said a prayer.
Then they dropped it in the leaking oil water.
On the boat ride back Wanda told us they wanted to come visit us sometime. They are always looking for reasons to go on vacations. HAHAHAH. I seriously love these two.
After the memorial we stopped by the swap meet at Aloha Stadium.
After a while everything is the same.
We got a cute shirt for Matix and I got a few fitted toe rings. I love those things.
Next stop, Waikiki for some swimming!
We picked the wrong day to hike Diamond Head. It was hot!!
The first set of stairs we had to go up are the ones that Doug is climbing in the top picture.
Then after a while we hit the second set of stairs...and they were worse (check out the bottom picture).
The view was totally worth all the sweat and pain in my quads from climbing the stairs.
Now we can't forget the yummy food we ate during the day...
Alright, these were the best meals I had all week.
Top: Diamond Head Grill, Teryaki Plate. The chicken was so moist and tasty. If were staying on that part of the island I would have ate their again.
Bottom: Kahuku Grill or Seven Brothers(same menu, different locations).
This cheeseburger was the best hamburger I've ever had.
Seriously.
The meat had a great taste, they put a yummy seasoning on it. Plus the burger comes with fry sauce on it.
Then the fries, they were thick potato pieces with more tasty seasoning.
We ate at this place for one meal everyday and got the exact same thing.
We were obsessed.
If you are going to Oahu, it is worth the trip to the North Shore for one of their hamburgers.

I really feel like I need to meet Omega and Wanda....for the pure fact that Omega and Wanda are their names. They sound incredible hahaha
