Day Three Hundred and Eighteen- Mother's Day

I have so many examples of great mothers in my life. Valerie has always been a great example to me, especially with mothering. As I watched her with her girls this weekend, I saw the way her girls looked at her and they way she looked at them...I saw the love she had for them. She is an amazing mother. My other sister Stephanie is a wonderful mother. I've seen her sacrifice so much for her girls and I know she would do anything for them. Both Valerie and Stephanie get all their great qualities from our mom. Our mom is one of a kind. You will never hear something mean or bad come out of her mouth. She is the most loving and caring mom ever. Now I've been blessed with an amazing mother-in-law and so many great sister-in-laws that I can look up to with pride. I hope one day that I will be just as good of a mom as they all are.

I wish I could spend time with my sisters everyday!

I was lucky enough to spend sometime with one of them this Mother's Day. We went to church and Doug, Rob, Scarlett, and I only stayed for sacrament meeting. We came home and I helped clean up around the house while Rob studied. While Doug was on Scarlett duty, I made dinner for Valerie, so it was done when she got home. She didn't have to do anything. It was a nice relaxing, beautiful Sunday.

That night we played Puerto Rico. Val and Rob got us this game for Christmas(because it's the only game Valerie can beat Rob in) and so they decided to teach us how to play. It was really fun. I felt just like I was 13 years old again and playing games at night with Valerie and Rob when they lived with us. Well Valerie ended up winning, but Doug came in second =)
