First Home Game...What An Upset!

So tonight was the big night! It was the first home game and it was the big BYU vs. Utah rivalry game. I was so excited to actually be there in the atmosphere of all the trash talking. Best shirt I saw a Ute fan wearing was one that said, "The only Cougar I like is your mom."

So I wont get into how big of an upset the game was, how everyone started leaving in the third quarter, how badly I wanted to punch the annoying freshman girls behind us, or how the final score was Utah 54-BYU 10.

I will, however, say it was just fun being there at a game. Plus our seats kinda rock this year. We are on the East bleachers, 2nd row about the 20 yard line. Our tickets this year are with Julie, Jared and a few of Jared's friends. All the basketball players sit just to the side of us and Jimmer was on the field the whole time in front of us. Now everyone knows how I feel about Jimmer Mania and so when the girls behind us kept yelling at him, I wanted to hit them.

See the girl with the ESPN vest? Yup, BYU games are on ESPN. Do you know what that means? Because of our seats the camera was always in our area. The people around us even said they got text messages from family saying they were on T.V., so look out for us this season.

So Cosmo came around throwing out t-shirts and we didn't catch any of them. But Jimmer had a shirt and so he threw it out in our direction and Doug caught it! I tried selling it to the girls behind us (because jimmer touched it), but I didn't have any takers.

Well BYU, let's hope you can bounce back from this huge loss. Look on the bright side, there is always next year to beat the Utes!
