The Lexus Lives

Doug has his car back!

Back in November Doug's Lexus died. We assumed it was the alternator and all signs pointed to that. The alternator was too much for us to fix on a car that is 500 miles away to having 300 thousand miles on it. So we parked it on the street and were going to sell it to a junk yard.

We decided to fix it, it was going to be too hard with just one car this semester and once the baby comes. So we planned and decided to take the car in to my work. Once the car was there and they tested the alternator, it all tested out fine. We think something was wrong with the battery cables. ARE YOU KIDDING ME? We really went 9 months with out a car thinking it was one thing and it ended up being something really small. We were so grateful.

Since they already had the car, they fixed the door too. Doug was not able to get in our out of the driver door. So he would have to climb through the passenger side to get in.

So Doug drove the car home and when he came inside he told me every time he used the left blinker the horn would honk. Weird right? So I text Jake(the one who worked on the car) and told him. He first said, "what are you talking about?" then 2 seconds later text again and said,"Bring it in, it only takes a few seconds to fix." The guys thought it would be funny to hook a wire that runs from the blinker to the horn. It was kinda funny.

Overall, it is so nice having the car back.
