Day Three Hundred and One-Santa Barbara

To start off this post I have to tell you that Doug is allergic to anything with down feathers in it. The couch at my house is all down. So while Doug and I stay at my house my parents bring in a chair from the living room for Doug to sit on. This morning when we went down stairs my dad had the chair out for Doug and even put a sign on it for him...

My mom wanted to have fresh strawberries with our breakfast so we went to the farmers market in down town Oxnard and got some strawberries that were picked that morning. They were the best strawberries I've had. Nothing compares to Oxnard strawberries. For breakfast my mom made us chorizo and eggs, my favorite. My mom had also my some really spicy salsa for me. I'm the only one that really eats it. I like to drench my food in salsa. My dad likes to say I put salsa on my salsa.

Today we headed up to Santa Barbara for the day. Our first stop was Dad Bell's Nursery. It was nice to finally see where he works. The flowers he grows are all so beautiful. There is a lot more work that goes into growing plants than I thought. I have a lot more respect for what he does now. Here are a few pictures from the nursery...

Look at his cute nest with an egg in it. Dad Bell said he was going to take it home for Brooklyn

After the nursery we went to State Street in Santa Barbara to walk around. My parents bought us some delicious Thrifty's ice cream, I got chocolate malted crunch of course. My mom bought me a few new things at Forever 21 and now I have some cute new outfits, Thanks mom. A trip to California would not be complete with out going to the beach, so we headed to the beach to touch some sand and walk on the pier. It was a beautiful day out, not to hot and not to cold. We couldn't have asked for a better day in Santa Barbara.
Doug wasn't all too thrilled to be taking pictures
Beautiful California

My cute parents

When we got home my mom made us some carnitas for dinner. I was in absolute heaven once again. Mexican food+Salsa= A happy Ashley
