Quite a few hours after going through Tracy Arm we docked in Juneau, the beautiful capital of Alaska. The main thing we wanted to do here was visit Mendenhall Glacier(or as some of the boys were calling it..Bronco's Glacier). We had a tour guide tell us a little bit about the town, drive us over to Douglas Island that had a cool view of the port, and then he dropped us off at the Glacier. The walk to the glacier and back was about an hour round trip, which made for a nice little hike/walk. While on the trail we spotted a porcupine in a tall tree. It was pretty cool. We didn't recognize what it was right away, everyone had to pull out their binoculars. (Cool side note: My sister stephanie's SIL went on the same cruise a week before us and saw the same porcupine in the tree.) Once we got to the glacier it was beautiful along with the waterfall right next to it. My only regret was not drinking the water, I bet it would have tasted really good.

After the glacier our group split up. Half of the family took a tram ride thing up the mountain and the other half walked around the town for a bit.
We even saw Sarah Palin
I made sure to get Dad in the picture
Woohoo! I got a shout out! ;) I can't believe you didn't taste the water! It was good ;)Love the jumping pics...
