Day One Hundred and Ninety-Three-Dinner at Matt and Mari's House

School starts Wednesday for us so we ended up spending sometime on campus today getting books and getting ready for school. The bookstore was a Zoo! It was packed and super hot! I’m pretty sure everyone in there was sweating.

Today Doug and I made our first homemade cake. My mom got me a Hersey dessert recipe book and we have wanted to make something out of it for a while now. We thought since we were having dinner at Matt and Mari’s tonight we would try something new. It was surprisingly really easy. Here is how it turned out. It is chocolate cake with a chocolate frosting. It was SOOO good, although it tasted more like a brownie than a cake. Oh well it was delicious.

Here are some other cute pictures from the night, Lindsey came down with Brooklyn and Easton as well. Easton was so cute with the dogs. He was so afraid of them yet he loved them. We have a lot of cute videos of Easton and Denali and McKinley (I’ll try to post one). Brooklyn was in Mari’s room the whole time watching a princess movie.They are leaving for California on Wednesday so it was nice to see them before they left.
