Later that night we went up to Bre and Mark's to pick the next season of 24. Tonight was my date night and so we sent up blankets and pillows in the living room and stayed up way too late watching 24!

Day Thirty-Six- Seven Peaks with Brooklyn
Today Doug and I took Brookyln to Seven Peaks while Brandon and Lindsey ran some errands. At first Brookyln so shy and even cried a bunch when her parents dropped her off. Once we left I started talking to her about Becca, the football stadium, and Cosmo and she calmed down. As we drove by the stadium I asked her who plays there and she said, "Denny." Then I asked her to try to find the Y on the mountain, she found it and told me it stands for Denny. It was so cute, she must really love him! Once we go to Seven peaks she got really excited and loved it. Brookyln right away asked to go on the big slides. We took her down a couple of the big ones she could sit on our laps on and she laughed the whole way down and wanted to do it again and again and again. We did quite a bit with her, she loved doing everything. It was like she had no fear. She kept wanting to go on the pink slide but she wasn't tall enough, so we told her she could go on it when she is as tall as her cousin Ryan. We were there for 5 hours and she didn't want to leave. We had such a good time with her, she was so adorable and we loved having her for the day. Thanks Brandon and Lindsey for letting us take her.

Day Thirty-Five-Pancakes, Band Hero, and Scotland Yard
Tonight Doug and I went up to Brad and Tamara's house to watch the kids while they went out to dinner. Doug and I got an animal pancake pan for our wedding and brought it with us. I was so excited about it, even more than the kids. We made them some pancakes with monkeys, lions, giraffes, elephants on them. They are super cute if you ask me.

After dinner Doug talked the kids into playing Band Hero. Side Note: Doug wants Rock Band SOO bad, so whenever he gets a chance...he plays it. The little girls don't really know how to play it, so they either sat on Doug's lap and helped him on the drums, sat my lap and helped me or my favorite...Ashlyn does my hair. Becca wanted to look through all the pictures on my camera so I was going through them with her. When we got to the pictures from the Provo temple she said, " I want to go there with you someday." I told her," of, course you can come and maybe we will go feed some after." She responded with, " Can I where my new pretty dress to the temple?" Don't you just love that?!

Once all everyone went to bed, Ryan wanted to play his dad's new game Scotland Yard. It was a fun game, but I'm not going to even try to explain it. Ryan was so much fun to play with. He actually cheated a bunch the first round and didn't even know it. Doug and I had a good time spending some time with just Ryan while playing the game.

Day Thirty-Three- Inception
After a few days of Doug begging me to go see Inception we finally went and saw it. What a movie! It was great. We both came out of there with a million and half questions. Doug and I decided we both need to go see it again to understand it better. I need to call up the movie guru in my family,Rob, and get his take on the movie. I'm glad we finally went to see it. Definitely worth our $5.75 each.
-Dad, you and mom now need to go see it so I can talk to you guys about it. Tell mom that it is worth the money!

Day Thirty-One- Roommate Reunion
We had Rachel over for dinner tonight and to play some games. After dinner Kelsey and Jordan came over to join us. We had a really fun time together. It had been too long since Rachel, Kelsey, and I got together. Our 4th roommate Leah is on a mission right now and so it will be about 16 months 'till we get to see her again.

Day Twenty Nine- We love Buckin' Bulls
This morning Doug and I went to Seven Peaks with our friends Aubrey and Brock. We spent almost all day there. We went on quite a few of the huge slides, well the boys did at least. I'm so glad I had Aubrey there with me because she didn't want to go down the steep slides either. I'm so glad we have some good married friends to hang out with!

Isn't he a stud?!

Look at my brave husband!

Doug and Brock
Tonight was Doug's night to pick a date for us and boy did he pick one...we went to a RODEO!! This was my FIRST rodeo EVER!!! I was so excited for it. We went up to West Valley and went to the Days of '47 Rodeo. As soon as we stepped in the Maverik Center I felt like I was on another planet. I've never been around so many cowboys in my life. It was weird to think this was their way of life and how they lived. THANK YOU MOM AND DAD FOR NOT BEING COWBOYS AND RAISING ME LIKE THAT!!!
Anyway, the whole thing was way cool, until I burst out in tears!!! I'm sorry but some of the events seems liked animal abuse to me. The poor cow was tripping over the lasso AND the poor steer was having its legs yanked so they could tie them up. That was the worst part. Even ask Doug if you don't believe me, I really did cry. Our kids will NEVER do anything like that! Besides the animal abuse the rest was great. I loved the buckin' horses and bulls. We even saw some guy get kicked by the bull and it just shot him to the ground.
Overall great date! Thanks hunny!

Only at a rodeo =)

Some pretty sweet buckin' horses

And this would be the buckin' bull!

Everyone is crowded around a guy that got kicked by the bull.

Day Twenty-Seven-It's Maaaaiiillll time
Boy was the Mailman good to us today!
First off, we sent an application to get our certified copy of our marriage license in about 2 weeks ago. For the past week, I've been bugging the Ventura County recorders office about it. They kept telling me they never got it. Plus the check we sent to them for the license, never cleared in my bank account either. So it led us to believe it was lost in the mail. NOT GOOD! I need that to change my name on EVERYTHING, plus we need it to get a joint bank account. Well, Doug and I were blessed with this piece of paper in the mail today....

I have no idea how we got it. I called yesterday and the lady told me they NEVER received the application and our check! I don't even care how it worked out, I'm just glad we got it.
Second, Doug's wedding gift to me came today!!! Its a BELL and I LOVE it! It's beautiful!!!!

I sure do love my husband!! =)

Day Twenty-Six- Happy 1st Birthday Easton
I can still remember a year ago today...I was at institute and My father-in-law, then Brother Bell to me, told us that he had another grandson...Easton. Little did I know a year later he would be my cute nephew.
Doug and I went out to Brandon and Lindsey's house to celebrate Easton's first birthday. What a cutie he is...look at him with his cake...

I love that Brooklyn is trying to help him.

I was right huh? Such a cutie!
Now take a look at this sight? Doug is such a natural!!!.......

Day Twenty-Five- Meet my friends...
Bob and Leslie.
They were my best friends a little over a year ago and were a huge reason I lost 15lbs! We had a little falling out once I lost the weight I wanted and I started dating Doug. Well lets just say Bob, Leslie and I are now mending our friendship and I'm spending every other night with them.
Here are my two friends...

On another note, there has obviously been a lot of adjustments since we have been married. Most of the adjustments are learning to love all the weird things Doug does or doesn't do. However, there is one adjustment no one warned me about...sleeping with someone else. Last night was probably the first night I slept through the night with out waking up. I never knew I would have to adjust to sleeping with Doug. I'm such a light sleeper as is, that every move he would make would wake me up.
So, I know you are all now happy to know that I can finally sleep through the night with out Doug waking me up =).

Day Twenty-Three
Today was our second week in our ward. Can I just say I hate making new friends and being in a new ward? I'm not very good at putting myself out there and introducing myself to people. I sat by myself in R.S and Doug sat by himself in Priesthood. Maybe someday we will make some friends in the ward. If not...then I'm still glad we have our other friends to hang out with here in Provo.
Anyway, tonight Megan was in town so we had her over along with Adam, Camille, and George. We played a few games and had tons of laughs. It was great catching up with them all. I felt like I was back in Oxnard again like the old times when we would hang out at Megan's house. I'm super glad I was able to spend some time with them.
Now I'm so excited for a girls night on Friday night with Jessica, Marie, and Camille!

Day Twenty-Two- Chick Food
We decided to sign up for a food co-op here in Utah. Today we got our first basket of food. Take a look of all the yummy fruits and veggies we got....

Our fridge is now full of all this goodness. Doug told me today that our fridge looks like a "chicks fridge, full of chick food." Gosh I love him, he always says the funniest things.
Tonight we went over to Brock and Aubrey's apartment with Jared and Megan and played a game called Things. It was really fun. We had a lot of good laughs. I'm so glad we have some good married (and soon to be married) friends!!

Day Twenty-One-Brandon's Birthday Party
Tonight we went to Brandon's 30th birthday party. Lindsey did a great job planning his party, it was tons of fun. We had dinner, watched a slide show of pictures of Brandon, played a game to see who knew the most about him( I only got one right because I guessed...I guess I should get to know my new family a little better), and the boys played (root) beer pong.
It was another fun night with the family and getting to hold some cute babies!

Day Twenty-Thursday=Temple Night
We have decided to make Thursday nights our temple nights. Julie was awesome and babysat the twins so Bre and Mark could go with us tonight. When we got out of the temple it was late and when we got back to Bre and Mark's house, the twins were asleep. Look how cute they look all swaddled up, I couldn't help myself, I had to take a picture of them.
