Saturday Happenings

Because it has been so dang hot outside we decided to keep our activities to indoors. 

We hit up sonic and then hit the mall play area.

I'm so glad our friend Natalie has a pool at her complex. 

It was perfect for a hot Friday afternoon.

I'm so grateful I have good friends with kids the same age as Matix. 

It makes getting together so much more fun.

Three

Three years ago today Doug and I got married.

It was the perfect day.

Here are a few pictures of our day.

This year we celebrated by just going out to dinner. 

Doug even brought be flowers.

This is a big thing since he knows I kill them and they don't last long in our house.

(don't mind that we have both gained weight)

 This boy sure does love me and I sure do love him!!!

I'm so lucky.

Circus Party

Today we hit up the Circus party at the Riverwoods.

We got there earlier then we wanted just so we could go to the wild animal show.

Matix would LOVE seeing all the animals.

Well Matix decided to fall asleep and slept through half the show.

Luckily he woke up in time to see this thing...(I forgot the name of it)

Matix kept trying to grab it. 

Then everyone got to go up and touch a snake if they wanted.

We took Matix up and he just looked at it and didn't want to touch it.

His friend Ryker was all about touching the snake though.

Then we let the boys just run around and play at the Provo Beach Resort.

This is Matix's favorite game.

Am I surprised at all? Nope.

This boy LOVES cars and everything about them.

Matix even got to go fishing. Cute right?

Best part of the Circus party? I won an instagram contest and got $25 to The Shops at the Riverwoods!

Mommy & Matix Time

Today we spent a little one on one time at Seven Peaks together.

We both love seven peaks.

I'm so glad it is so close during this hot summer.

Matix had a hard time getting used to being in his float.

At first he hated it and didn't want to be in it.

After a while he noticed all the balls on it.

He would point to them all and "talk" to me.

I'm loving my new heart rate monitor.

Not only does it track my heart rate but it also tells me how many calories I've burned.

Who knew I would burn that many calories doing Zumba.

Father's Day

Trying to get a good picture of Doug and Matix was a lot harder this year.

Last year, Doug just held Matix and it was no big deal.

This year, Matix didn't want to be held.

I'm so grateful for the dad that Doug has become. I always knew he would be an amazing dad.

My favorite noise is hearing Matix and Doug playing and laughing.

In the mornings Doug gets Matix from his crib and Matix almost always says, "Dada."

Matix absolutely adores his dad. He gets SO excited when he comes home. 

Matix follows him back to our room where Doug is changing and he just blabbers away to him.

After church we had some friends over for a waffle bar and a little X-Box kinect.

After playing with cousins in the morning we headed to the lake.

Doug went fishing with the boys and the girls hung out on the shore and tanned.

To say Matix likes Jacob and Jilian is an understatement.

This kid loves them.

Cousins

This morning we watched Brad and Tamara's kids for them for a few hours in the morning.

Matix was in cousin heaven.

He just ran around everywhere and loved all the attention.

In the back yard this is where you can find Matix 100% of the time. 

He loves this sand box.

Doug was playing Soccer with the kids and the neighbor kids.

Ryan ran inside and grabbed this umbrella to sit under while he watched the game.

Funny kid.

As much as I'm so ready to get out of Utah, I'm going to miss having so many cousins SO close.

All of Matix's Utah cousins live with in 30 minutes of us. 

It's perfect.
