Day Two Hundred and Forty-Nine- Oh Happy Day

I'm cooking again!!!

Tonight I tried out a new taquitos recipe. They were MM-MM-GOOD!!! Take a look at these lovelies....

Plus, you bake them instead of frying which makes them healthier. Doug was loving them and had like 5. Good thing we hit the gym once our food settled.

Here is the link to the recipe...go try it out and find out how amazing these are!http://sisterscafe.blogspot.com/2011/02/creamy-chicken-taquitos.html

Day Two Hundred and Forty-Eight-Family Dinner

Tonight was family dinner at Bre's house. Thanks Bre for the yummy stuffed French toast, they were amazing.

Best part of the night was holding and playing with the babies! I got to hold Benjamin until he almost fell asleep...it was so precious.

P.S. It's still weird not having Brandon and Lindsey up here for dinner every month. We miss you guys =)

Day Two Hundred and Forty-Seven-Fun Filled Day

This morning Doug and I got up early to go to the temple with our ward. We actually had not been to the temple in a while, so it was nice to be there and feel of the love of the Lord. Here is a picture I took after our session.

We got home just in time to watch BYU beat SDSU in a much needed win! Go BYU!

Tonight we had Matt and Mari over for dinner and a game of Settlers. Congrats to Matt for winning! Thanks for coming over and spending time with us, we love you guys =)

Day Two Hundred and Forty-Six-Snow Again?

What do Doug and I do for a date night when we wake up to this in the morning?....

We go surfing....

Tonight we went out to dinner at Malwalis again....I know I know...I said I would never eat there again. But lets be honest, I'm all talk and no action. We had a yummy dinner and then we walked around the new Provo Beach Resort. This place looks like a lot of fun, we are excited to go to actually play.

Doug and I are on a budget each month, so in March I will be buying some jewelry with my set aside money =)

I know she is having a few other parties in March. Let me know if you want more info about them and give you the info about them.

Day Two Hundred and Forty-Three- Elder Whitlock

So Doug and I have been keeping in contact with Preston since he has been on his mission (well I write and Doug gives me input on what to tell him). He is a good friend to both of us and so it is fun to hear about his mission.

Side note: I became good friends with Preston before I met Doug. Then when Doug and I started dating I found out Doug and Preston are cousins(it's a weird connection, don't ask me how they are related), pretty cool huh? So Doug and I have stayed pretty close to him over the last year and a half. We even sent him a wedding invite and some pictures from the wedding.

Today we got a letter from Preston and he is coming home in JULY!!! He told me he wants a huge welcome home party for him at the AIRPORT. Only Preston would want that. So if any of you who read this know Preston and will be in the area in July, I'm sure he would love for you to go to the airport.

Hopefully Doug and I will be able to be part of his party at the airport.

P.S. Doug and I get the award for the only friends that have written him is whole mission! =)

Day Two Hundred and Forty-Two-Presidents Day

Even though it was President's Day today, I went to work. I took the car too, so Doug was stuck at home to do his paper.

When I got home from work, he had done his paper and even practiced some Tony Hawk and Mario Kart. Pearl Harbor had just started when I got home, so we continued to watch for another 4 HOURS! I forgot how long that movie was.

If it looks like I've been crying....it's because I was! C'mon it's Pearl Harbor...when don't I cry when I watch that movie?

Day Two Hundred and Forty-One-First Time Winners

Tonight Julie and Jared came over to play Settlers. We played twice and Julie and Jared won one time each. Good job guys!!

I told Doug that we need to step up our game if we ever want to beat my BIL Rob or Valerie at this game. I have a feeling whenever we are able to go see them, this is the game we will be playing every night.

Day Two Hundred and Forty-I'm Ready to Travel!

Now I can travel to Italy in December and go on the Bell family cruise in June!!I got my passport today!!!

Besides getting my passport today, we helped some friends move. Well Doug was the one that really helped because I'm no help in carrying heavy stuff. I was able to help a little bit with boxes though. It felt really good to be able serve them. Sometimes Doug and I get so busy and caught up in our own lives and what we want to do on the weekend that we forget that we should be serving others as well. I'm glad I volunteered us to help them move. So moral of this little story....Go out and Serve!!! =)

Day Two Hundred and Thirty-Five-BEST Valentines Day!

Doug is truly amazing!! Thank you to the Bells for raising him to be the gentleman he is.

Today Doug and I had school like we normally do on Mondays but after school is when the fun started. For dinner we decided to have a candle lit dinner at home instead of going out. I went to pick up Chinese take out and Doug set up the table. It was the most romantic(and dark) meal I've ever had. After dinner Doug told me to go pick out a movie online to get at the Redbox while he cleaned EVERYTHING up in the kitchen. What a stud!

So I picked Eat Pray Love and we also got Jamba Juice for dessert. The Jamba was buy one get one free so we were all over that. The movie was good, but just a little different than we both expected.

It seems like we didn't do much, but it was the best Valentines Day I've ever had.

I love you Doug and I'm so glad I get to spend every Valentines Day with you forever!

Day Two Hundred and Thirty-Four-Mountain of Clothes

As life gets busy for us between school and work this is what happens to our clean clothes after they are washed....(don't judge us)

So tonight we tackle this.

Hey at least they are clean right?

Day Two Hundred and Thirty-Three- Flash Back

Today was a flash back of the day Doug proposed.

Last year as we walked up Ensign Peak I told Doug I wanted to hike it again because it is a fun easy hike. Well little did I know that place would be so special to us that we would end up going back time and time again.

We want to try to hike it around the time that Doug proposed each year, but we know it wont be realistic when we move. So in the future when we get the chance we will =)

As you guessed, this morning Doug and I went out to lunch together and then hiked Ensign Peak. It was just as we remembered at this time of year, snowy and muddy. It makes for some fun slipping and sliding.

After the hike we decided to stay up in Salt Lake and go to the girls basketball game at Utah to see Marie Beck. It was my first experience seeing a bunch of Ute fans. I wont bash on them too much, but this was the first time I saw a mullet on someone with bad teeth. There were two fans that stuck out to me and man were they different. Take a look for yourself...

The lady Cougars rocked it like we knew they would. It was a fun game and I'm glad we went (By the way, after Doug proposed we went to a BYU Utah basketball game too!)

After the game we went home to get ready to have some of my friends from the good ol' Nard come over. It was our old little group, just missing a few people. We had a lot of fun laughing and talking. I'm glad we are all up here together.

P.S. Camille is going to have Noah REALLY soon! =)

Day Two Hundred and Thirty-Two-Watchin' the Nieces and Nephews

Tonight Doug and I went to Brad and Tamara's and watched the kids while they went out. I was super excited because they left Benjamin too. He is the cutest little guy and I loved holding him and rocking him to sleep.

The kids were a blast to play with. We played a bunch of board games and of course rock band.

Ryan is going to be such a stud!

I'm so glad we live so close to family that we can drive 15 min to see our nieces and nephews. What are we going to do when Doug gets into a grad school far away??

Day Two Hundred and Thirty-One-Bieber Fever

So Doug has a bit of Bieber Fever. Tonight we had to listen to Justin Bieber songs as we got ready for bed and once we were in bed. I was already in bed and I asked Doug to go get me something from the front room. Doug picks up his laptop and carries it with him to the front room so he can listen to the music all the way there and back...it's not that far. I like to tell him he has a bit of a man crush on Justin Bieber.

(picture to come soon)
I wouldn't be surprised if we end up going to see Never Say Never this weekend or on Valentines Day.

Day Two Hundred and Thirty- We're Sick of Jimmer

I never thought I would go to an LDS school where people worship false idols.

Guess what? That is where I go. They might as well call it Jimmer University.

BYU is full of people worshiping Jimmer and tonight I had enough of it.
There was this girl that wrote into a newspaper about how people have no lives and just worship Jimmer. Everyone on campus talk about him and all the teachers are obsessed too(I agree with her). Well her facebook got lit up with comments from Jimmer fans about how he is amazing and how her facebook got "Jimmered".

The one thing that throws me over the edge about all of this is the fact people are replacing our Heavenly Fathers name and Jesus Christ in the scriptures with Jimmer. Here are a few examples...

"And we talk of Jimmer, we rejoice in Jimmer, we preach of JImmer, we prophesy of Jimmer, and we write according to our prophecies, that our children may know to what source they make look for a crossover and deep 3."

"For God so loved the world, he gave us Jimmer."

"yea, verily, verily I say unto you, if all men had been, and were, and ever would be like unto Jimmer, behold, the very powers of hell would have been shaken forever; yea, the devil would never have power over the hearts of the children of men" (This one I got off someones facebook from camarillo that shall remain nameless)

I think this is the most disrespectful thing anyone can do. I'm sick of it all. Yes Jimmer is a good basketball player but c'mon people he doesn't belong in the scriptures.

Day Two Hundred and Twenty-Nine-Another strikes...

Today towards the end of work, I had a migraine attack. It was the first one since Christmas time, which isn't too bad. They still take so much out of me. With out fail, every time I end up throwing up all the food I ate that day. I hate it.

After I picked Doug up from work at 9 we came home and Doug took care of me. He does the best job at taking care of me. Doug was right there at my side the whole night. I was able to just lay in his arms until I fell asleep. Just knowing that he loves me and is willing to put off his homework to take care of me is really comforting.

I'm sure lucky to have him!

I sure wasn't going to take a picture of myself today, but this is how I felt!

Day Two Hundred and Twenty-Eight-We Are All About FREE Stuff

...Well I am more than Doug.

If you ask Doug, he will tell you I will stand in a line to get free stuff, I'm all about free BYU shirts, free floss(thanks Bre), and anything else free.

Tonight we went and did a little grocery shopping and while we were at Maceys, they announced they were giving out free Paring knifes. So I sent Doug to listen to the man give his talk about all his knifes while I did the shopping.

When we got home, I made dinner and Doug was on an organizing kick. He started with his desk, then he went to the kitchen. I was more than appreciative. Doug organized a few of the cupboards. Look how nice they are now.

Day Two Hundred and Twenty-Seven-Super Bowl

So today our ward canceled our Sunday school and Relief Society and Elders Quorum. We aren't quite sure if the super bowl had anything to do with it ;)

Anyway, we had ALL of Doug's old roommates(except Braden)over for the super bowl. We had a lot of food and a lot of good times. Dan is such a hard core Packers fan that when they weren't doing to well, him and Nicole had to leave. All of the girls weren't that into the game, we just watched t he commercials and talked.

Megan, Jared, Doug, Aubrey, Jil, Jake, Sterling, Cassandra, Geoff, and Brock

Cassandra and Sterling
Megan and Jared
Geoff, Jake, and Brock

The best part of the night was watching the brand new Glee episode that was on right after the super bowl. The episode was WAY better than the super bowl.
