Date Night

Doug and I started off our date night by looking at baby stuff at some stores...c'mon...what else would I want to do??? ;)

DoTerra had given Doug a few Jamba Juice gift cards, so we got some drinks and searched for Grown Ups movie at all the Red boxes around. Finally Doug found it and we got the movie we were wanting to watch. So we had a nice movie night with popcorn and chocolate shakes(made by Doug-they were yummy!!!!). These are the best kind of date nights!!

Bell Girls Night

Tonight the Utah Bell girls(minus Julie, we missed you!) got together for a girls night. We had dinner at Chili's and did a lot of talking. After we spent quite a long time just talking at Chili's we went to Mari's to play some games. It was a nice evening spending time with mom and the sisters.

16 Weeks Today

This morning I went in for my 16 week appointment. Our little bundle of joy's heart beat is still a strong 160. In 4 short weeks our baby better be ready to open its legs and let us see what is between there! Once we know the gender, shopping for baby stuff will become a lot more fun for Doug. He keeps telling me that looking at baby stuff isn't fun because we don't know what colors to look at.

Fun Fact: This week our baby is the length of an Avacado and can start to hear my voice!

Here I am...

Orem Owlz

Tonight Doug and I went to the Orem Owlz game with DoTerra. It was kinda fun meeting everyone Doug talks about and works with. It was a boring game as most baseball games are(yes, I think baseball is boring unless you're with a bunch of fun people to talk to).

Here is me and the Owl before the game

Ashlyn's Girls Night

For Ashlyn's birthday a little over a month ago, I told her I would have a girls night with her and she could spend the night. So tonight was her big night.

I picked her up and we went to Seven Peaks for a couple of hours.

After Seven Peaks, she decided she wanted McDonald's for dinner, so that is where I took her. After dinner we went to Rite Aid and she picked out some nail polish and a redbox movie.
The rest of the night was filled with painting nails, coloring, making rice crispy treats, and watching Gnomeo and Juliet while we fell asleep.

She kept telling me she was glad we were doing the girls night this year because next year I would have a baby and we couldn't be as loud as we wanted, we would have to be quiet. She even told me her favorite baby names and she is hoping we have a girl.

Thanks for a fun girls night Ash!

Jeff and Kylie Beck

Right after work tonight Doug and I drove straight up to Richmond, Utah. It is the border city of Idaho and Utah. What would bring us to Richmond on a Friday night?

Well these two would...

Jeff and Kylie were married last weekend and tonight was their Utah reception. I'm glad we made the drive to see the newlyweds. They are such a great couple and I can't wait to do a double date next time we go to California.

Doug's Surprise

Today when I picked Doug up from work he surprised me with the latest Taylor Swift CD! I was so excited. I couldn't believe he remembered how badly I wanted that CD that came out last year. I asked him how much it was and he said," it doesn't matter, the smile on your face makes it all worth it."

Doug gets husband of the year award! Plus Taylor is AMAZING in her new CD.

Baby Bell

Well now that the beans are spilled I can talk about it on this blog now and get all you people up to date. I'm officially 13 weeks pregnant and due January 13th. Doug and I are so excited to be parents. We found out we were having our little bundle of joy at the beginning of May, right before we left to Texas. So it was REALLY hard for me to keep it a secret from Valerie while I was there. We wanted to wait until I had my first appointment to tell our families.

So far I've had a pretty easy pregnancy. No morning sickness really. Sometimes I'll get nauseous and have to get out of the kitchen while I'm cooking but other than that I've been really lucky. Around 7 or 8 weeks I would get really tired and go to bed at 7 or 7:30 every night and then wake up to pee in the middle of the night. I'm not as tired now, but I still pee quite a bit.

We have had 2 appointments so far. This last appointment at 12 weeks was the best one so far, we got to hear the heartbeat. Our little one is doing fine as far as we know with a heartbeat of 160. It was the the most beautiful sound I've ever heard. It all became a lot more real to me when I heard the heart beat. There is actually a little one growing inside of me and I love it!

I love reading thebump.com. This website is the best, every week I go on it compares the size of my baby to a fruit. This week the lucky fruit is a peach! Cute huh! When we found out we were pregnant the baby was the size of an apple seed and now it's a peach.

Anyway, I'm loving being pregnant, especially since it's been easy so far. I can't wait to find out if we will add another girl to the Clark side or be the first ones to have a boy. We get to find out the sex at the end of August. We can't wait!

Fourth of July at the Beach

For the Fourth of July we spent the day at the beach. Doug and I got t
here at 9am to secure a spot for all of us. The Bells and Stephanie's friend Lindsey joined us as well. It was SO nice to be on a sunny beach in California instead of being stuck in dry, hot, Utah(can you tell I'm kinda over Utah?). My mom spoiled us once again with her amazing Mexican food. She brought all the stuff to make tortas for lunch. Boy were they good. Bree and Dixie were so much fun to watch on the beach. Dixie would just run all over if you let her. I also got to play with all the Bell nieces and nephews too. While at the beach my dad took Lori and Doug out surfing. My dad is the best surfing teacher there is...basically because he would push me in on a wave(I had no upper body strength to paddle into a wave). Doug a
nd Lori both caught a few waves. I was so proud of my hot surfer husband.

That evening Steph and Jason came over and we waited until it was time to go see fireworks. While we waited Bree and peepa(dad) made some yummy strawberry lemonade. My dad took us on base to see them. BEST PLACE EVER. It wasn't crowded at all. The Hueneme base is my new favorite spot. It was a nice relaxing day with the family. It was really hard going back to Utah this time. My heart will always belong in California!

Don't mind Dixie picking her nose, I think it's cute
Doug was popular with the girls when he got out his ipad

Mr. and Mrs. Tate

Julie and Jared are perfect for each other. Doug and I are so excited to have Jared part of the family. They both looked stunning and it was the perfect day down at the LA Temple. Uncle Bob was their sealer, who also sealed us a year ago, and gave them some great advice. The sealing was beautiful and the spirit was so strong. Going to sealings make me so grateful for the temple marriage Doug and I have.
