Day Two Hundred and Twenty-One- Family Home Evening

Tonight for Family Home Evening Doug gave the lesson. He taught yesterday in elders quorum and so he gave that lesson to me. We talked about different ways to avoid sin and went over two talks from the last general conference. It was nice to have a quiet evening talking about ways we can improve, avoid sin, and draw closer to our Heavenly Father. I love these nights when we have gospel related conversations and we can feel the spirit really strong.

After FHE, we decided to work on our scholarship applications. The original plan was to apply for a scholarship given out by the Ventura County/Santa Barbara Alumni Chapter. So we almost complete and then find out it was a replenishment grant. Last thing we have to write about is what a REPLENISHMENT grant means to us and how we plan to pay it back. Sorry, we are all about free money. None of this pay back stuff for us right now. So we just decided to apply for a normal scholarship through the university. We want to wait till grad school hopefully before we have to get money that we have to pay back. We like our government grants and SMART grants for right now.

Day Two Hundred and Twenty-A Day with the Bells

Before I tell you all about my day with the Bells...

Can you believe ONE YEAR ago today Doug took me up to Ensign Peak in SLC and asked me to be his wife??? I can't believe it. It was has gone by so fast. Can you believe we've been married a little over 7 months now? I'm so blessed to have Doug as my husband. Sometime I think about how I'm so glad he wanted to marry me, be with me for eternity, have kids with me (cute little quarter Mexican babies), and go through life with me. I'm the luckiest girl ever!

Today I was able to go to church with the Bells and spend the day with them before they took me to the airport. Mom Bell made a DELICIOUS lunch/dinner as always. Then we celebrated Dad Bell's birthday(it was earlier in the week).

After we ate, I was able to get some cute pictures of Brooklyn. Dang this girl is adorable!

Then we finished off the day with playing one of Lindsey's games called Bohnanza. It was a fun game about trading beans and planting them, I kinda felt like a farmer.

I am really glad I was able to spend so much time with the Bells. I really lucked out with great in-laws!

Best part of the day: Getting picked up from the airport by the man of my dreams!!

Day Two Hundred and Nineteen-MEGAN'S WEDDING!!

Today Stephanie dropped me off at the Bell's house in the morning. I was able to spend most of the day with them until Megan's wedding. Brandon was nice enough to let me borrow his car to go out to Oxnard- THANK YOU! It was a lot of fun playing with Brooklyn and Easton, watching the BYU Basketball game with the family, and getting to spend time talking to Mom Bell and Lindsey.

Megan's wedding was beautiful! She look SOOO happy and that is all that matters. It was really nice to see Don and Lisa too, I sure do miss and love them(they have always been my second set of parents). It was so unreal to see Megan getting married. We have known each other since we were 7 year old or maybe a little younger. Megan and I have been like sisters ever since we lived next to each other. I can't believe we are both now married. As Megan walked down the aisle, I broke down and started crying. I was so happy for her. We are all grown up now and soon we will have our own families. I love you Megan!

Day Two Hundred and Eighteen-Girls Day With The Miles

Today I tagged along with Stephanie doing all her errands she usually does on a Friday. I got to walk Bree to school with Dixie on hip which was a lot of fun. We took Bree to Hip hop class and jazz class. She is such a cute dancer!

Tonight Bree was really excited for a girls night. She was talking about it all day. We even wore princess tiaras to the store to get snacks.

Here are some pictures from our fun girls day (warning this might be a picture overload)
Dixie likes putting on Bree's pajama pants

These are the pictures I get when I ask Bree to to a Rock Star pose. SO Cute!

Stephanie did a great job on our nails, Thanks sissy!

How do you say good bye to a face like that? She is SOO cute!

Day Two Hundred and Seventeen-To California I go

Tonight I left my sweet husband and flew home to California for Megan's wedding. This was one of the cute girls I was greeted with at the airport...

As I was laying bed tonight I really missed Doug. It was the first time I had slept by myself since we were married. All I know is I already never want to leave him again!

Day Two Hundred and Sixteen-One Good Thing After Another

So today started like any other day, just normal.

Well after one of Doug's classes he went home before the game to get a bigger jacket (he had to wait outside before he could get in the Marriot Center). After I got out of one of my classes I got a text from Doug saying that I was going to thank him BIG time for being a Portuguese major. I called him to see what was up. Long story short, we got an unexpected SMART Grant from the government for $2000!!!! This was literally "the random check in the mail" that everyone talks about in church. Anyway are really excited for this money. We are saving it for fall semester. Best part about it is we can still apply for other government grants for next fall and winter semester. We are so blessed to have this money come our way right now.

After my last class of the day it was off to meet Doug at the game. It was a pretty intense game! The crowd was loud and of course obsessed with Jimmer. They even use his name as verb..."You got Jimmered" Then the crowd likes to wave their arms in a motion like they are bowing down and praising him. Thou shalt not worship false idols BYU!! Yes Jimmer is a great asset to the team, but c'mon we need to stop obsessing over him.
Anyway, BYU beat the number 4 ranked team SDSU! It was crazy. After the game fans rushed the court.

Best game of the Season!

Day Two Hundred and Fifteen- Doug's Green Bracelet

This bracelet means a lot to Doug.

Doug stood in a long line to get this bracelet.

This bracelet means he is one of the first 500 people that get to go into the game tomorrow night when #9 BYU plays #4SDSU. It is supposed to be a HUGE game!

Lets hope the best for our Cougs!
