Ashes to Ashes

Since Utah is on fire right now, Provo is being showered with ashes. 

As a result, our Seven Peaks afternoon was canceled. 

We decided to just go to Jessica's house instead.

Matix sure loves playing over there. 

Thanks for letting us come hang out for a little bit Jessica!

Celebrating

While we were in California Doug and I celebrated our anniversary by staying at Westlake Village Inn (where we spent our wedding night) for a night and my parents watched Matix for us. 

We even got two vouchers for free breakfast the next morning. 

It was the perfect little getaway for a night.

Last night Doug and I went out to dinner and had a friend watch Matix for us.

After dinner we got some frozen yogurt. 

Can you guess which one is mine? 

Two

New Toy

Thanks Aunt Bre for letting us use this fun new toy! 

I love how busy it keeps Matix so I can get more done around the house.

5 Months

From 1 week to 5 months!! 

What a different little boy I have...

Matix is sitting up for a few seconds by himself . 

He has rolled over from his belly to his back a few times. 

As for sleeping, well he isn't doing much of that these days. 

White Balance

For my photography class I had to play around with the white balance. 

For this assignment I had to take some pictures outside on the "sunny" setting. 

These are my favorite from that day.

The ceremony was beautiful and the sealer had great things to say to Preston and Mandy. 

Mandy was a beautiful bride and didn't let the crazy winds get her down on her big day. 

They are a great couple and we couldn't be more happy for them.

Nathan called Doug this morning and said they were in town for the day. We were able to spend a few hours with Nathan and Aimee before they headed back up to Rexburg. It was really nice to see them and we wished they lived closer!

Bed Time

These pajamas he is wearing are 9 month size!! 

They are a little big, but I can't believe he fits into them. 

So I'm taking a photography class and these pictures were taken on M. 

I know these aren't great, but I'm practicing and learning.

Aunt Lori

This last weekend we had Lori in town and she was able to stay with us. 

It was so much fun to have her around. Matix loved having her here. 

He absolutely loves her. She could get him to laugh and smile at anything she did.
