His First outfits

Here are our little boys first outfits.

This first one is one we bought the night we found out he was a boy. I know he will look so cute one day wearing this around his Peepa(my dad) in one of his own surfer shirts.

This second one is from Brad and Tamara. They had us up for dinner that night and she surprised me with some cute clothes. So cute! Thanks Tam, this little one is going to look adorable in these clothes.

Girl or Boy?!

The baby did great in the ultrasound. Here is the butt shot we all wanted to see so badly...
Well we have broken the Clark girl pattern.

It's a BOY!! We couldn't be more excited. The lady asked us if we could tell what the gender was...so I paused and said "Boy?" and she said, "Yes, It's a Boy!" I about fell over I was in shock and so excited all at the same time. My eyes filled up with tears and I shed a few. Doug was smiling from ear to ear.

Best part is, he (I love saying he now instead of "it") is doing great. Has 10 fingers and 10 toes and all his little organs are working. This little guy still has a strong heartbeat in the 160's and is measuring about 6 days ahead of where I'm at. So we have a big baby in there(I'm sure pretty long).

It was so unreal actually seeing OUR baby. Let me tell you, he has the cutest profile, feet, and hands (but then again I may be a little biased). We are SO in love with this little guy already!

Here are the string of ultrasound pictures we got....

Grandpa Bell

After being in Salt Lake for a few hours Doug and I decided to visit Grandpa Bell for a while in Sandy. When we got there the place had a band playing some old music that they could listen and dance too. Aunt Glorian was there as well and so we were able to visit with her too. Grandpa was sitting in the front row right in front of the dance floor, so I pulled him out to dance with me. Things were going well for a while until his pants started to fall down, so I had to hold up his pants with his belt. Then grandpa started to dance around in circles pretty fast, well he got dizzy and started to fall. I was holding onto him, so I used all the strength I had(which isn't much) to hold him up as he was trying to catch his balance. Luckily he didn't fall and we sat right down. If he had fallen, I would have toppled right on top of him. It was a nice hour or so of listening to music, listening to grandpa sing, and just chatting with him and Glorian. Grandpa Bell is such a sweet man and Doug and I are so lucky to have him in our lives. He carries such a nice spirit with him and we love being around him. Grandpa lives so close and we have decided to make more of an effort to go visit him. We have a hard time leaving him every time we go. He gives us this sweet look, like don't leave yet, gives us a kiss. a hug, we tell him we love him with a promise to visit again soon and we leave.
Grandpa Bell is 92(I think), and so Doug and I try to really cherish all the time we have with him. Once we move next year, we wont see him at all and we are going to miss him a lot!!!

"This is The Place"

This quote is pretty popular here in Utah. Brigham Young said this when he came through the mountains and saw the Salt Lake Valley. He knew this was the place he and pioneers needed to be. As a result of that great moment in history there is a huge park and monument in Salt Lake.
Today Doug and I decided to visit it.

I had a blast, while Doug thought it would be a lot more exciting if we had kids with us(which is true). They have a whole little town set up to look like it would back in the day. People are dressed and act in character. There are actually a few homes and buildings that are the real deal. They were picked up from their original location and moved to this park. One of my favorite parts was fact that they have a mini petting zoo. Doug only let me touch the bunnies because I can be allergic to other animals and then my eyes swell up and it's not a pretty picture. So Doug and I walked around the town, in the buildings, and took a train ride around the park. It was a nice, HOT day with Doug.

In the front of the train
I had to get my picture with the lamb
The cute old street we walked up and down a few times

I couldn't get enough of these bunnies. I could have pet them all day, but I decided to give all the little kids behind me a turn
These pigs were in this big area with goats. We walked into this big gated area so you could pet the pigs and goats. These two pigs were fighting/playing. A few times they came running towards Doug and I and we had to get out their way. You could tell they owned this area and didn't care if anyone got in their way. I loved it and Doug couldn't wait to get out.

This guy was in this HOT building and had to work around the fire. I felt so bad for him. Anyway, he was making the head of an ax which was pretty cool.
I loved this sign, especially the bottom part

The True Hawaiian in the Family

I continue to learn new things about Doug all the time.
Tonight I learned what a great Hawaiian dancer he is. DoTerra had a company Luau tonight with some good food and great entertainment. The main guy(who also did a fire dance) taught all the men the Haka and one of his daughters taught all the women a hula dance. So Doug was chosen best Haka and some other girl was chosen best Hula....but their could only be one winner. So Doug participated in the dance off. To be honest Doug owned it. The girl had nothing on him ( I may be a little biased though). So in the end we cheered the loudest (high school cheerleading came in handy tonight) and Doug won!! My husband won DoTerra's best Hula/Haka. What a stud! Not only did Doug get the title of best dancer, DoTerra gave him a hand held video camera! Pretty sweet right?
Thank you DoTerra =)

Perfect Babymoon

Before school starts, life gets busy again, and we have our baby Doug decided that we needed to go on one last weekend getaway. So we headed off to Park City last Thursday for a few nights on the perfect Babymoon. It was filled with sleeping in, resting, swimming, shopping, taking a ride on a ski lift, chocolate, and just spending time together.

Our AMAZING room!
We even had a kitchen. So we bought our own food and cooked for quite a few meals

Here we go!

Yes, I made Doug put the bar down over us, better safe than sorry ;)

Doug let me get a yummy caramel apple with white chocolate and milk chocolate..mmm
So we go to T.J. Max...and what do we buy? Way too much BYU gear. Those shorts on the left are my first pair of basketball shorts! I also got that men's white BYU shirt. I'm just scared I wont have anything to wear to the games come November when I'm large and in charge.
Right before we checked out Saturday Morning (I'm trying to suck my stomach in....not working)

Almost 18 weeks

Wednesday I'll be 18 weeks pregnant. Just a little over 2 weeks until our ultrasound!

So I still feel just plain fat and like I don't look pregnant at all. I can't wait for the day my belly just pops! Belly bands have been saving my life since I can't button my jeans (with some I can, it's just really uncomfortable).

I just want to have a cute pregnant belly already and feel this baby kick. I guess all in time right?

Family Home Evening With The Bells

Tonight a few of the Utah Bell families got together for FHE on mom's last night in Utah before she goes back to California. It was fun spending even more time with the family, this is what I love about the summer, lot's of family time. Bre gave a nice lesson on making our homes more like a temple....then she made everyone some muddy buddies to remind us to keep the mud out of our homes. Thanks for the lesson Bre, it was a nice reminder of making our home more like a temple. After the lesson, the girls talked while Brad and Doug golfed in the park and Mark watched the twins run around. Overall it was a nice summer evening spent with family.
